I am very satisfied with the product and would use it again if I needed to. I had an old adapter spacer so fitting the 3.5 drive into the 5.25 enclosure was simple. I should have ordered the 3.5 inch enclosure unit, but that was my error. The unit works great and the electronic adapter of the enclosure required nothing extra; just plug and play. I wanted to replace my 250 gig Harddrive (HD) with a 1 terabyte HD unit and use the 250 HD as an external backup. The Sabrent EC-525K USB 2.0 5.25-Inch Enclosure made it simple work. However, it did require a tight fit due to short cable length of the enclosure adapter that was intended for a 5.25 drive.
The burner fits fine in the case and Windows Vista recognized it just fine. I had to disabled the fan since the noise was driving me crazy and I'm only using it for a DVD burner. I bought this case for an internal DVD burner. The only down side for this case is the loud fan.
It's easy to use, and while just a little noisy, it's not so much so that it would bother most people. This enclosure is well worth the cost of buying it. We are happy with it.
Amazing product, but the noise is outrageous loud, and also the big red glow that comes from the back can be a little annoying.
Works great, I have had it for three weeks,no problem. The Enclosure was very simple to put together. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to make an external hard drive.
